The Kwaya is the first ever televised national choral competition held in East Africa. It is a platform to celebrate the best in amateur choral singing. The competition is recorded for television (Kiss tv/kbc)and the contestants sing in front of three judges.
Open to all over the age of 18, entry to the competition is free and features live judging by choral experts as well as comments from the viewers at home.The Ultimate choir auditions for 2012 are currently going on with auditions in Nakuru taking place on 8th september.This gives the chance for various groups to showcase their talent and stand to walk home with the ultimate cash price of Sh1million. The challenge is scheduled to converge various choirs from across the country that would sing their hearts out in the genre of music that most suits them.
